Nominations Process and Deadlines

Capitalize on your NCSM Membership and Leadership. Consider running for an open Board position or nominating someone for a position.

You can nominate someone online now. All nominations are due by May 15, 2008.

2009 Open Board Positions

Second Vice President
Southern 1 Regional Director
(Bermuda, Florida, Georgia, Military AA: APO/FPO, Puerto Rico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virgin Islands, Virginia)
Western 1 Regional Director
(Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming)

Candidate Eligibility

According to the NCSM Constitution, Article V, Section 6, "A candidate for any office shall have been a member of the Council in good standing [paid membership dues] for at least one year before being placed in nomination." Therefore, members eligible to be placed in nomination must be in good standing as of May 15, 2007.

Voter Eligibility

Make sure that you are eligible to vote in the election. A notification of election postcard will be mailed to members in good standing as of August 15, 2008. It is very important to keep your membership current!

Voting Deadlines

Voting for the 2009 NCSM election will open on September 15, 2008 and close on October 15, 2008.
