Message from the Director: I am honoured to have the opportunity of serving as Canadian Director of NCSM. I am confident that the combination of my interpersonal skills, education, and experience make me an ideal candidate for this position. Taking on a directorship of a region the size of Canada can have a few challenges, such as communication, travel, and making connections. That said, I feel that I have many connections across the country upon which I can draw. I have started a list serve for provincial and territorial mathematics consultants. I have also attended forums and conferences across the country that have enabled me to establish professional relationships built on mutual respect with math educators across Canada... I will work hard to serve NCSM's interest as the Canadian Director.
